    Description

    Responsibilities:

    • Work with stakeholders throughout the organization to identify opportunities for
    leveraging MCTSSA data to drive business solutions.

    • Mine and analyze data from MCTSSA databases to drive optimization and
    improvement of product development, marketing techniques and business strategies.

    • Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering
    techniques.

    • Develop custom data models and algorithms to apply to data sets.
    • Use predictive modeling to increase and optimize customer experiences, revenue
    generation, ad targeting and other business outcomes.

    • Develop data testing framework and test model quality.
    • Coordinate with different functional teams to implement models and monitor outcomes.
    • Develop processes and tools to monitor and analyze model performance and data
    accuracy.

    • Conduct data transformation.
    • Implement analytics to transform data into actionable information.
    • Deploy data tools such as Python, R, SAS, or Structured Query Language (SQL) in
    data analysis.

    • Support understanding of where tactical data lives and how edge computing makes it
    more actionable.

    • Provide configuring and staging concepts to project offices to support implementation
    actions.

    • Inform MCTSSA on SOPs and tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) to manage,
    govern and secure data in a data fabric construct.

    • Research other data fabric strategies within the United States Government and assess
    viability for USMC use cases.


    Qualifications:


    Minimum Position Requirements:

    • Ability to apply Data Scientist expertise through technology processes, methodologies,
    standards, or frameworks.

    • Expertise in applying Data Scientist tools and developing methodologies in an
    integrated test and/or garrison environment.

    • Experience using statistical computer languages (R, Python, SLQ, etc.) to manipulate
    data and draw insights from large data sets.

    • Experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, JavaScript, etc.
    • Experience working with and creating data architectures.
    • Experience using machine learning techniques (clustering, decision tree learning,
    artificial neural networks, etc.) and identifying real-world advantages and drawbacks.

    • Experience using advanced statistical techniques and concepts (regression, properties
    of distributions, statistical tests and proper usage, etc.).
    Desired Position

    Qualifications:


    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer
    Engineering, or related field.

    • Knowledge and experience in statistical and data mining techniques.
    • Experience with distributed data and computing tools.
    • Experience creating and using advanced machine learning algorithms and statistics:
    regression, simulation, scenario analysis, modeling, clustering, decision trees, neural
    networks, etc.

    • Experience visualizing and presenting data for stakeholders.
