    We are looking for a new Senior Manager, Production and Planning, with strong logistics aptitude and experience in the logistics industry, preferably in retail logistics with a focus in production planning and dispatch. Superior organizational skills, a positive attitude, and a strong desire to help make our customer happy are vital to this role.

    Your Role

    You will plan the daily work of our distribution center. We will count on your superior organizational skills, innate ability to handle high-stress situations, and flexibility to manage constantly shifting priorities and customer needs. You will also provide a great customer experience.

    Your Responsibilities

    • Design and maintain production schedules driven by internal and external customer demand
    • Determine equipment, materials, and personnel required to complete production in time to meet customer deadlines
    • Provide operations with all relative information to successfully complete their jobs
    • Ensure completed customer calls and requests are completed in timely manner such as special Value Added Services
    • Manage all routing guides of our customer's vendors to the best of routing of trucks/deliveries through routing portals and directly with trucking companies
    • Receive and answer emergency and non-emergency calls and quickly prioritize dispatch responses
    • Investigate the cause of critical shortages for order fulfilment, schedule delays; initiate action to ensure work progresses on schedule
    • Keep departments and customer informed about completion dates, material changes or substitutions, and schedule modifications
    • Provide leadership to the team on daily task execution, prioritization, continuous improvement, and goal attainment
    • Remove roadblocks and troubleshoot material flow problems in both systems and processes
    • Develop and improve current planning methodologies along with monthly forecast review and implementation
    • Monitor ongoing projects for quality and timeliness, diverting resources when necessary
    • Maintain department documentation for work instructions, planning strategies, and system coding of materials
    • Responsible for achieving annual inventory targets in all non-purchased categories
    • Work with leadership to achieve company generated Key Performance Indicators and initiatives
    • Conduct frequent customer service surveys and drive improvements into the organization

    Your Skills and Experiences

    • Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent combination of education and related experience
    • 5+ years of warehousing experience
    • 3+ years of leadership experience in a distribution environment
    • Ability to effectively present information to customers. motivate and maintain a high level of enthusiasm among the team, and prioritize a large list of items to meet deadlines and goals of the team and customers
    • Independent thought, good judgment, and excellent problem-solving skills
    • Proficient computer skills (ORACLE, Excel, etc.)
    • 3+ years of production control experience preferred
    • APICS or other certification is a plus
