    We are hiring a Controller/Lead Accounting Manager.

    In this role you will be leading the internal and external financial processes at the company. The Controller will have 2-3 direct reports and will be overall responsible for performing accounting,

    financial processing, reporting, and related data management functions.

    This includes system administration, management, and maintenance of the accounting software functions; accounts reconciliation; AR/AP management; workers' comp administration; tax and audit preparation for third party CPA firm contract and budget management, tracking, and forecasting; and all other critical fiscal management responsibilities.

    This position reports directly to the CEO.

    Duties include:
    Leading operations of the accounting department which includes, accounts payable, billings & collections, and payroll.
    Conduct semi- monthly payroll, operating expense and overhead analysis to improve operating efficiencies and expense leverage
    Strong knowledge in customer invoicing
    Providing tracking and analysis for product launch and targeted growth initiatives
    Planning, directing, and coordinating all accounting operational functions
    Responsible for month-end and year-end close of income statement and balance sheet, account reconciliations, & G/L analysis
    Transportation Margin reports, vendor list audit.
    Managing the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of consolidated business results
    Coordinating and preparing internal and external financial statements
    Complying with all federal, state, and local protocols including legal requirements, and interpret new and existing legislation
    Focus on tax compliance, state business registration, contract review
    Providing the management team with information vital to the decision-making process
    Evaluating accounting and internal control systems
    Providing analysis and regular status reports on results of key activities and initiatives
    Support cycle count and annual physical inventory processes
    Monitoring and addressing asset control practices and issues
    Developing recommendations to address audit issues and opportunities for improvement
    Conducting and/or supporting investment analysis related to capital expenditures
    Leading budget and quarterly forecast processes
    Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications:
    Demonstrated ability to work in a leadership role and supervise team members
    Ability to effectively guide and train 2-3 direct report
    Ability to work in a team environment, inter-department and with HR department
    Must be of highest personal integrity
    Must be able to work in a fast paced-work environment.
    Must have a broad understanding of accounting and finance
    Must have solid business management knowledge
    Must be an outstanding communicator, and have established skills in accuracy, organization, and working in a high-volume environment
    *Experience in Logistics Transportation and Supply Chain (not necessary, but preferred)
    Education and Experience
    Must have QuickBooks Desktops knowledge/experience – Required
    CPA strongly preferred
    Prior Management of Accounting Processes – Required
    BS degree in accounting, finance, or related field
    Minimum 5 years of experience in business accounting
    *This is not a remote position.

    Position is 100% in-office.
