    Senior Biostatistician #128269;School of Medicine, Stanford, California, United States#128193;101394 Requisition #The mission of the Quantitative Sciences Unit (QSU) is to facilitate cutting-edge scientific studies initiated by Stanford investigators by providing expertise in biostatistics and informatics, to mentor and educate clinical investigators in research methods, and to mentor data scientists so that they can reach their full potential.

    The QSU achieves its mission through an interdisciplinary collaborative approach where QSU members become fully integrated into individual research teams.

    The QSU is recruiting for a Senior Biostatistician (Biostatistician 3) to independently design studies, analyze data, and disseminate findings. Independently work with investigators on proposal or grant development. Oversee biostatisticians in the lower levels on data cleaning and creation of analytic files. Lead statistical projects related to collaborations on topics including statistical software, and evaluation of methods. Oversee lower-level staff on quality control.

    Implement data analysis through statistical programming.
    Consult with investigators and others on appropriate statistical approaches to data analyses; Mentor clinical investigators on relevant research methods.

    EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE (REQUIRED): Master's degree in biostatistics, statistics or related field and five years of experience or Ph.
    D. in biostatistics, statistics or related field.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (REQUIRED):
    Proficient in at least two of R, SAS, SPSS, or STATA.Skills in descriptive analysis, modeling of data, and graphic interfaces.statistical methodology such as missing data, survival analysis, statistical genetics, or informatics; database design (e.g., Frequently perform desk based computer tasks, seated work and use light/ fine grasping.
