NaphCare is hiring Registered Nurses (RNs) just like you at the Polk County Jail located in Des Moines, Iowa. Day Shifts, Night Shifts, PRN Nights, and 13 week contracts are available. At NaphCare, we want you to be able to use your skills.

Pay rates range from $38 to $47.50 per hour based on type of license, certification, Shift, FT, PRN, temporary contract, site needs, licensure, and experience.

We have opportunities for full-time with great benefits, part-time, PRN, and 13-week temporary contracts available

Our positions encourage cross-training, and include roles such as intake booking nurse, detox nurse, sick call nurse and health and physical assessments nurse.

Position Description:
Take and document all patient history and vital signs
Assist with daily triage/sick call, minor medical/surgical procedures, patient assessments, examinations and/or treatment
Initiate and document prescribed protocol agreement
Respond to and initiate care for medical emergencies within the facility
Observe and evaluate the performance of the licensed practical/vocational nursing staff
