Description

Park Marina on Lake Allatoona is looking for a qualified Maintenance Technician.

The ideal candidate is skilled in looking at a property and noticing what tasks need to be completed and can prioritize them accordingly.

Compensation would be commiserated with experience. Positions requires Monday through Friday work 8am-4:30pm. Weekend work would only be required if there is storm damage and the marina or docks must be secured.

• Apply knowledge (of electrical systems, plumbing systems, advanced carpentry, HVAC, etc.) to diagnose systems, approaching mechanical challenges from a logical perspective.
• Make repairs as assigned while working efficiently with strong attention to detail.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Always maintain all equipment in top condition to ensure that safety standards are met and to prolong equipment life.
• Consistently assess work areas for safety concerns. Raise all concerns to the appropriate individual and follow-up to ensure that all are resolved.
• Skill in the proper and safe use of all tools, materials, chemicals, and products relating to the department.
• Strong verbal and written, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to utilize these skills to maintain positive relations with Team Members and Guests.

Requirements

• Working inside as well as outdoors in all weather conditions. Aspects of position may require working in extreme temperatures. Extreme is defined as temperatures sufficient to cause marked bodily discomfort unless the worker is provided with exceptional protection.
• Working in small, confined areas in awkward positions is required.
• Physical activities include walking, talking, seeing, hearing, reaching, holding, grasping, feeling, stooping, bending, crawling, stretching, lifting, and kneeling.
• Considerable dexterity of hands, fingers, and wrists is required.
• Ability to walk and stand for long periods is required.
• Ability to lift and carry pounds.
• Ability to use body members, hand tools or other devices to lift, hold and carry materials
