    Description

    Director of Engineering Role:

    Tenable seeks an experienced engineering leader to drive the delivery of highly reliable, scalable, and maintainable SaaS products in cloud ecosystems.

    About the Opportunity:

    • Prioritize managing distributed engineering teams and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve successful outcomes.
    • Leverage expertise in planning and growing a global engineering organization, measuring maturity, and driving performance data.
    • Cultivate strong relationships with Product Management to define product strategy and combine industry experience with product knowledge.
    • Maintain ownership and pride in predictably delivering high-quality engineering releases.
    • Foster a culture of innovation within the engineering organization.

    Requirements:

    • 10+ years of software engineering experience and 3+ years as Director of Engineering.
    • Based in the greater Boston MA, San Jose/San Francisco CA, or Baltimore/Columbia MD areas.
    • Prior experience leading enterprise commercial SaaS products and cybersecurity product engineering.
    • Demonstrate strong leadership skills and motivate teams to produce high-quality software with velocity.
    • Proven record of distributed system architecture and containerized environments.
    • Background in Object Oriented Programming (Java) and database technologies (SQL, Elasticsearch, Snowflake, or PostgreSQL).
    • Experience in agile/scrum process collaboration.
    • Excellent communication skills and ability to attract top software engineers and managers.
    • B.S or M.S. Degree in Computer Science or related field.
