- Obtain an accurate set of vitals on neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, and young adult patients for both sick and wellness visits
- Acquire patient histories and chief complaints
- Prepare and administer medications, immunizations, and breathing treatments as well as perform suture removals and ear washes
- Run several diagnostic tests including urinalysis, fingersticks, viral and bacterial swabs, and hearing/vision screenings
- Prepare outside lab tests and call for pickup
- Appropriately document administered immunizations/medications, procedures, and diagnostic tests
- Stock/clean the lab and examination rooms
- Inform parents and providers of diagnostic test results and/or treatment recommendations
- Complete a variety of administrative tasks including filling out patient forms, organizing incoming faxes, and obtaining prescription refill messages to forward to the provider
