    Excel Engineering, Inc. is seeking a team-oriented, highly motivated, and experienced Client Services Manager for our Mounds View, MN office.

    Since 1990, Excel Engineering, Inc. has differentiated its services from that of its competition by providing engineering solutions to achieve our clients' business objectives. We offer full service Electrical and Control System Engineering Consulting services in the US and abroad.

    The Client Services Manager will report to the company President. They will oversee the day to day operations of Excel's Client Workforce business group. This includes diverse solutions for legacy clients, newer clients, and prospective future clients. The position will help to drive the achievement of organizational sales goals.

    Responsibilities Include

    • Working with large electric and natural gas power utility clients to recruit, place, and manage industry specific talent. This includes construction managers, supervisors, inspectors, and other client-specific titles as needed.
    • Working with large, diversified, manufacturing clients to recruit, place, and manage industry specific talent. This could include owners' representatives, project managers, project controls specialists, and other client-specific talent as needed.
    • Prospecting and developing new clients who can utilize the talent we have developed for existing clients. This may include developing new service offerings to meet client needs.
    • Support other service offerings of our company with contingent workforce talent, as needed.
    • Foster existing client relationships and establish new business partnerships.
    • Foster internal employee relationships to maintain working satisfaction.
    • Collaborate with our business development team to offer contingent workforce services to prospective clients.
    • Work with our admin team to perform resource service proposals. This could entail scope interpretation/development, logistics planning, cost estimating, coordination, execution, and follow-up.
    • Work with our accounting team to manage resource time and invoicing.
    • Follow up on submitted proposals and drive proposal award.
    • Travel to visit clients, prospects, and employees as needed.
    • Help to plan and execute the annual Excel Engineering Technical Conference.
    Requirements

    Education
    • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Electrical, Chemical, or Mechanical) from an ABET-accredited program is preferred.
    • Master of Business Administration is a plus.
    Qualifications
    • 10+ years of electric power utility and/or industrial construction and project management experience.
    • Strong understanding of resource qualifications and abilities to best fit client requirements. Areas of focus include engineering, construction, project management, project inspection.
    • Possess knowledge of generally accepted business practices and commercial concepts.
    • Ability to independently discuss relevant technical concepts (i.e., utility construction, industrial project management) with clients.
    • Effectively works with individuals in various organization levels, of diverse backgrounds, on site or in office settings.
    • Ability to develop and maintain rapport with clients, partners, and employees.
    • Persistent, persuasive and possesses excellent communication and listening skills.
    • Willing to travel up to 20% of the time.
