    Summary Objective


    The purpose of this position is to develop relationships with universities, technical schools and staffing agencies for diverse recruitment strategies.

    Develop recruiting strategy for key or hard to fill positions.

    This class works independently, under limited supervision, reporting major activities through periodic meetings.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
    The essential functions listed below are those that represent the majority of the time spent working in this class. Management may assign additional functions related to the type of work of the class as necessary.


    • Travels to, participates in and coordinates sourcing events such as diversity campus visits and recruiting fairs or social media posts as needed.
    • Collaborates with the hiring manager to gain thorough understanding of their needs while managing expectations.
    • Ensures consistent messaging across all employment job postings and communications.
    • Participates in the interviewing process.
    • Monitors the interview demographics for Louisville Metro Government departments.
    • Tracks hiring metrics and draws insight from metrics to make hiring process more efficient.
    • Implements action plans to source qualified diverse candidates.
    • Partners with Metro Human Resources and the Office of Equity to ensure compliance with all federal, state and local regulations and ordinances.
    • Identifies external organizations, local events and conferences to create new sourcing channels for both short-term and long-term hiring needs.
    • Maintains regular communications with community stakeholders.
    • Performs related work as assigned.

    MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

    • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business or Public Administration or related discipline.
    • Three (3) years of talent sourcing or analytical human resources experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS
    Physical demands refer to the requirements for physical exertion and coordination of limb and body movement.


    • Performs sedentary work that involves walking or standing some of the time and involves exerting up to 10 pounds of force on a regular and recurring basis or sustained keyboard operations.
    UNAVOIDABLE HAZARDS (WORK ENVIRONMENT)

    Unavoidable hazards refer to the job conditions that may lead to injury or health hazards even though precautions have been taken.

    SPECIAL CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES

    • Must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license with an acceptable driving history.
