    This position requires a broad-based electrical and mechanical skillset along with a proactive approach to identifying ways to improve the site's performance through troubleshooting and hands-on repairs.

    Based at our customer site, the Resident Automation Technician III must represent the TGW image and ensure that a professional relationship with the client is developed and maintained.

    This position is based at our customer facility in Columbus, Ohio. Standardized Tasks & ResponsibilitiesResolve customer equipment issues as quickly and practically as possible.
    Complete work assignments and the associated work orders as assigned.
    Complete maintenance activities pertaining to the automated equipment on-site, including conveyors, cranes, shuttles, scale checks, and carton-opening systems. Lead maintenance efforts to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues requiring in-depth technical knowledge.
    Adhere to the highest quality standards, while always ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation. Optimize automation efficiency and performance to ensure delivery of contracted KPIs. Interface with the customer as needed to support operations. Monitor and maintain the site spare parts inventory. Collaborate with the broader TGW Lifetime Services team to track, document, and communicate issues and lessons learned.
    Perform other duties as assigned.

    Requirements ProfileAssociate Degree or Technical Certificate in Controls Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance, Electrical Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.

    Five plus (5+) years of demonstrated experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment in industrial, warehousing/distribution, manufacturing, or related environments.
    Previous experience in electromechanical troubleshooting and repair of material-handling conveyors, AS/RS, and shuttle systems.
    Familiarity with HMI and/or SCADA (supervisory control and data acquisition interface) experience.
    Profibus and Profinet experience.
    Ability to interpret engineering drawings for use in diagnostics.
    Excellent communication skills and customer service skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, etc). Ability to travel up to 10%. PLC programming and troubleshooting knowledge, preferred.
