    Summary

    The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) is ranked within the top 5 mid-size agencies through the Partnership for Public Service's Best Places to Work in the Federal Government Rankings Our Fall Internship Program provides students the opportunity to acquire first-hand experience in the energy industry, while gaining exposure to the Commission's work. This vacancy will be used to fill multiple positions in OED, OPP and Commissioner Clements.

    Duties

    This vacancy is for a Fall 2024 internship.

    While the duties of the Student Trainee (Management Analysis) may vary depending on office placement, some of your typical work assignments may include:

  • Monitoring, advising, and preparing media drafts for posting on social media accounts; participating in topic area research and data management projects; and providing administrative support and completing special assignments for the Confidential Assistant. Assignments will vary depending on the chosen applicant's interest and experience
  • Carrying out the requests of the senior leadership and the Administrative and Operations Support staff, tracking action items, and assisting with administrative support functions. Providing confidential and personnel staff support to the senior leadership team related to planning, control and coordination of the Office's requirements.
  • Monitoring, advising, and preparing media drafts for posting on social media accounts such as Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram and making edits and updates to the Office's web page. Providing content development, formatting, and design support for Office-related outreach materials.
