- Recognizes and communicates changes in patient status to prevent emergencies.
- Assists with patient mobility, hygiene, and basic needs.
- Collects and reports patient data to the care team.
- Performs ECGs, phlebotomy, and specimen collection.
- Ensures culturally appropriate and safe care environments.
- Builds professional relationships with patients, families, and colleagues.
- High School diploma or GED preferred
- Minimum age of 18 required, except for specific locations
- Previous healthcare experience is a plus
- American Heart Association BLS certification needed
- Ability to move freely and lift up to 50 pounds
- Exposure to bloodborne pathogens may occur
- Manual dexterity and coordination for patient care

Job Title: Labor & Delivery Patient Care Technician
UNIT DETAILS:
This unit at ThedaCare Neenah Hospital specializes in high-risk birth scenarios, working closely with Children's Hospital of Wisconsin for advanced care. With a focus on obstetric and nursery services, the unit handles an average of 1500 deliveries annually. It is equipped with 17 LDRP rooms and 11 antepartum/postpartum rooms.

The Patient Care Tech (PCT) plays a crucial role in providing patient-centered nursing care under the supervision of the nursing team. Responsibilities include ensuring patient needs are met, collaborating with the care team to achieve high-quality outcomes, and maintaining a standard of compassionate and safe care.
