    **CDL A (Hazmat Tanker OTR) Driver** Location **US-MI-Detroit** Job Code **9404** # of openings **1** * **Competitive pay starting at $29.90/hour**

    **Over the Road assignments of 4 nights or greater will include an additional $4.00/hour**

    **$5,000 sign-on/retention bonus**

    Conduct pre/post trip inspections

    Complete accurate information for onboard computer system(s) and electronic systems

    Adhere to all safety requirements including wearing all PPE during loading and unloading

    Load tankers to full capacity, ensuring safe and timely deliveries

    Maintain the highest level of customer service

    Maintenance and housekeeping compliances to ensure the cleanliness and upkeep of equipment

    Ensure effective internal and external communications using voice and on-board computer and communication equipment to dispatch office, customer service, and customers

    Comply with all governmental regulations and complete all required documentation in electronic or paper/pencil formats

    HS Diploma or GED

    2 years verified CDL A work experience, including at least 1 year of verified CDL A Hazmat Tanker work experience

    Proven safe work record and MVR, including driving in necessary weather conditions/environments of the terminal location

    Commercial driver's license Class A CDL

    Hazardous materials and tanker endorsements

    No DUI/DWI within the previous five years and no more than one in a lifetime

    Experience with bulk chemical delivery preferred

    Minimum of one year or more of chemical tanker experience preferred

    Must be able to climb trailer and cab ladders; lift, push, pull and carry up to 50 pounds including cranking dolly legs; and wear a chemical suit in hot and cold environments

    Demonstrated ability to organize, plan and manage time

    Must pass a DOT and company physical, drug screen, and background check if a job offer is received and accepted

    Must possess or be able to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) (if needed, company paid upon hire)
