    Physician Chair - Psychiatry at Hennepin Healthcare, Minneapolis, MN

    Hennepin Healthcare is known for being an integrated care system consisting of HCMC, a top-tier Level I Adult and Pediatric Trauma Center. The network includes a 473-bed academic medical center, a Clinic & Specialty Center for outpatient needs, and a wide range of primary and specialty care clinics spread across Minneapolis and its suburbs. The Mental Health Department at Hennepin Healthcare provides various services such as inpatient and outpatient treatment, emergency services, and referrals on a 24/7 basis.

    About the Role: Hennepin Healthcare is currently seeking a full-time Department Chair to lead the Psychiatry Department. The role involves strategic recruitment, retention, and development of Medical Staff, overseeing academic activities, ensuring quality care, managing finances, and providing mentorship to the medical team. The Chair plays a vital role in optimizing resources, enhancing patient access to care, and promoting a collaborative approach to healthcare delivery.

They focus on offering a wide range of services to meet the needs of the community, collaborating closely with other specialties to provide holistic care.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Doctorate Degree (MD, DO, or equivalent)
    • Current (or eligible for) license to practice Medicine in the State of Minnesota
    • Board certified in an ABMS recognized specialty
    • Minimum 5 years administrative leadership experience at the institution, department, or section level
    • Must hold or be eligible for an academic appointment at the University of Minnesota
