Electrical Engineer II

Hours:
Full-time salary, Mon-Fri; 40 hours.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Ability to design and release changes to existing schematic/panel layout using engineering best practices.
Ability to create and release models, assemblies and schematics.
Understands Bill of Material structures and basic ERP function.
Understands the basic function of test chambers
(electrical/refrigeration)
Designs custom heater assembly using heat calculation program (understanding of the element calculations as well as proper 3-phase assembly design using the newly created heater element).
Basic knowledge of NEC codes and UL508A program.Basic knowledge of PID controllers (SCP-220/P-300/F4T) - drawings, loading firmware, navigating HMI screens.
Programs and troubleshoots basic PLC ladder program/HMI programs.
Answers questions from production (basic electrical troubleshooting) and service regarding design releases.
Ability to create and write manuals.
Ability to design and release basic to more complex custom modifications to a standard ENA chamber model.
Follows engineering group procedures and ISO standards.
Processes a midrange ECN - new model chamber, based on previous models.
Calculates chamber FLA using the FLA calculation tool.
Understands design for manufacturing & assembly within the limitations of our manufacturing facility.
Requirements:
Bachelor degree in Electrical
3 years' experience in electrical schematic/panel layout design
PLC ladder logic and HMI programming experience preferred.
AutoCAD Electrical experience required.
Strong communication skills and problem-solving skills.
A commitment and willingness to work and communicate with all departments to resolve issues in a timely manner.
Environmental chamber design experience a plus.
