    General Description:


    We are looking for a human resources generalist who will be responsible for performing HR-related duties professionally and in a highly confidential manner.

    This position fulfills responsibilities in the following functional areas:

    benefits administration, employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding and offboarding, policy implementation, recruitment/employment, affirmative action, and employment law compliance.


    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
    Administers various human resource plans and procedures for all personnel; assists in implementing personnel policies and procedures.
    Performs benefits administration, including open enrollment, claims resolution, change reporting, and communication of benefits information to employees.


    Manage the recruitment and selection process, providing advice and guidance to department managers; utilize applicant tracking system, review and post job advertisements; initiate and review background check results.

    Design and conduct employee training to enhance the department's knowledge of foundational concepts and company policies.
    Maintains human resource information system records and compiles reports as needed.
    Maintaining department records, reports, and organizational charts
    Coordinate the performance evaluation process for office employees.
    Performs other duties and projects as required.

    Collaborate with VP and Manager of Human Resources on emerging Employee Relations issues, the disciplinary action process, and creative options for resolution.

    Maintain knowledge of laws, regulations, and best practices in employment law, human resources, and employee relations.

    Be open to learning how to assist with Payroll and eventually become a backup for the staff currently doing the payroll.

    Reports directly to the Vice President of Human Resources
    Experience, Education and Certification
    Bachelor's or associate degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field is highly desired.
    Minimum of two years of human resource management experience is preferred.
    SHRM SPHR or PHR is a plus.
    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
    Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
    Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
    Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
    Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
    Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
    Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
    Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
    Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS and talent management systems.
