    Overview

    *Position is based out of our Purchase, NY HQ OR Plano, TX HQ. This is a hybrid role coming into the office 3 days a week

    This role is an idividual contributor role and will primarily be responsible for the assessment of existing reporting processes, recommending enhancements to the existing processes, internal controls, and governance framework for all ESG and sustainable finance reporting to provide assurance on the accuracy, validity and completeness of ESG related disclosures (both qualitative and quantitative).

    Additional responsibilities will include supporting audits addressing emerging global risk areas; such as, economic, environmental, geopolitical, societal and technological.


    The role will also require close partnership with the Sustainability Office, Control, Finance, Legal, IT, external consultants (where applicable), HR and other relevant functions involved in PepsiCo's strategic transformation initiatives and commitments.

    Responsibilities

    Support audit-related tasks and activities as directed by the Audit Director; help guide the planning, scoping and execution of audits addressing emerging global risk areas
    Work with functional departments to understand current processes, plus document and maintain process documentation (e.g., narratives, flowcharts, etc.)
    Evaluate the design of internal control activities, including performing gap assessments to determine new controls needed
    Develop and maintain a control testing plan to assess the operating effectiveness of key controls, identify deficiencies, perform deficiency assessment, and provide recommendations for areas of improvement
    Assess existing reporting processes including, input assessment, data capture, assessment of processes, controls and governance, and evaluation of system capabilities and control design that reduce risk and create efficiencies

    Review compliance for ESG reporting regulations, including but not limited to European Union (EU) Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) including the ESRS (European Sustainability Reporting Standards) and SEC Climate and Human Capital Rules.

    This also covers processes for materiality assessments, sustainability due diligence, climate-related risks and opportunities and transition plans
    Evaluate progress against the PepsiCo ESG Roadmap and environmental commitments
    Collaborate with applicable stakeholder teams to ensure ESG disclosures and the associated documentation are assurance-ready
    Conduct research and benchmarking for key trends and translate those findings into best company practices and goals

    Qualifications


    Minimum Requirements:
    Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or relevant discipline required, master's preferred
    4+ years of relevant professional experience from a management consultancy/public accounting, in-house corporate sustainability role, sustainability assurance, or other relevant private-sector roles with an ESG (Evniornmental Social Goverance) focus
    Understanding of climate risk concepts and climate risk management practices including relevant regulatory requirements; professional certification is preferred
    Highly strategic and analytical; can synthesize information and offer recommendations/solutions
    Sound judgment, diplomacy, and the highest professional ethics and integrity
    Excellent oral and written communication skills, including developing and editing written report deliverables
    Superb time management and prioritization skills; comfort with multiple overlapping deadlines
    Proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, trend analysis, etc) and data analysis/benchmarking
    Fluent in English


    Preferred Requirements:
    Experience with Power BI and/or Tableau is a plus

    A strong understanding of ESG reporting regulations, including but not limited to Eurpean Union (EU) Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) including the ESRS (European Sustainability Reporting Standards) and SEC Climate and Human Capital Rules.


    Compensation & Benefits:
    The expected compensation range for this position is between $98,700 - $165,150 based on a full-time schedule
    Location, confirmed job-related skills and experience will be considered in setting actual starting salary
    Bonus based on performance and eligibility; target payout is 12% of annual salary paid out annually
    Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement
