- Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures using hand tools and power tools.
- Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
- Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
- Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
- Advise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous.
- Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures based on job specifications and local codes.
- Prepare sketches or follow blueprints to determine the location of wiring and equipment to ensure conformance to building and safety codes.
- Use a variety of tools and equipment such as power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, and testing equipment.

- Place conduit (pipes or tubing) inside designated partitions, walls, or other concealed areas, and pull insulated wires or cables through the conduit to complete circuits between boxes.
- Fasten small metal or plastic boxes to walls to house electrical switches or outlets.
- Perform physically demanding tasks, such as digging trenches to lay conduit and moving and lifting heavy objects.
- Reports machinery defects or malfunctions to supervisor.
- Record and maintain production, repair, and equipment maintenance information for CMMS applications.

- The environmental conditions for this position include inclement outdoor extremes of cold, heat, dust, wind and various forms of precipitation.
- Walking, moving around and or standing 6-8 hours or more per day. Walking includes moving within a 100-acre facility with dirt roads and uneven ground.
- Recurring climbing and descending of stairs throughout the day to perform work at heights. Work for this position can be performed at an elevated station and requires a comfort with heights and balance.

ELECTRICIAN I – Under regular supervision, an Electrician I is responsible for installing, servicing and repairing wiring, conduits, fixtures and other electrical devices, systems and equipment in a demanding industrial manufacturing environment.
Assists in departmental housekeeping and safety efforts, orders parts required to maintain repair part inventories, and works collaboratively with equipment repair mechanics, production counterparts, and vendors to ensure production workflow.
Performance expected to be at an entry level capacity.
ELECTRICIAN II – an Electrician II is responsible for items described for an Electrician I, but require stronger work experience within each function.
May help to direct Level I Electricians in the performance of their duties and provide them with on-the-job training (OJT) as necessary.
Performance expected to be at an intermediate to advanced level capacity. Promotion from Electrician I based on criteria determined by management.Lead Designations (Lead A & B) – duties include those described those for an Electrician A, but include the performance of some supervisory and administrative duties.
Additionally, a Lead Electrician will dispense work assignments to mechanics and electricians as well as other maintenance personnel. B-Level Leads are subordinate to A-Levels.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
