    The Office of Admissions at the South Dakota School of Mines & Technology is excited to announce an opportunity for an Associate Director to join our dynamic admissions team.

    As the Associate Director, you will work closely with the Associate Vice President for Enrollment Management and other team members to shape and execute strategic recruitment programs that align with our university's enrollment goals. Your responsibilities will include supervising our admissions counselor team, managing the local recruitment territory, and serving as a backup to the Associate Vice President.

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Lead and mentor our admissions counselor team, fostering a collaborate and supportive environment.
    • Manage the local recruitment territory and represent the university at college fairs, high school visits, and college nights.
    • Cultivate strong relationships with prospective students and their families, providing accurate information about the university, financial aid opportunities, and academic programs.
    • Demonstrate exceptional customer service skills, ensuring a positive experience for all prospective students and stakeholders.
    • Possess excellent communication, organizational, and time management abilities.
    This role requires flexibility, including the ability to travel overnight and work evening and weekend hours as needed. A bachelor's degree, experience working in higher education or with high school aged students, and valid driver's license is required. Previous experience supervising and leading teams is highly desirable.
