Job Details
Under direct supervision of the Manager of Geriatrics, develops, markets and directs Memory Fitness Center. Establishes effective means of providing client services to patients and families referred to the Center.Job Description
• Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson.
•
Develop, implement and maintain program structure for Memory Fitness Center
•
Market program to referral sources in the community, community groups, etc.
•
Conduct operation of program, meeting needs of participants while staying within budgeted parameters.
•
Promote ongoing public relations efforts
•
Conduct ongoing evaluation of program, modifying as appropriate.
•
Other related duties as assigned
Education:
Degree in Therapeutic Recreation, CTRS preferred, or certification as an Activity Therapist
AND
Experience:
Experience planning, developing and conducting recreational group activities for geriatric population and for those with dementia.
Experience interacting with health care professionals in Community
Minimum Certifications, Registration or License Requirements: Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist or activity therapist
