    Position: Human Resource Manager

    Schedule: Full Time / 07:30 – 04:00PM ET / Weekdays

    Location: 711 Northland Ave. Buffalo, NY, 14211

    Overview:

    HR Manager: Own Your Impact

    Are you a passionate HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment? Do you enjoy wearing multiple hats and making a strategic impact on the organization? If so, this HR Manager role at Plesh Contract Packaging may be perfect for you

    In this unique opportunity, you'll be the sole HR resource, leading all aspects of the human resources function.

    You'll wear two hats – HR Business Partner and HR Manager – partnering with leadership and driving strategic HR initiatives while also handling day-to-day HR tasks.

    Responsibilities:

    · Strategic HR Partnership: Collaborate with high-level leadership on a variety of projects, including leadership development training, vendor management, and workforce planning.

    · Talent Acquisition & Onboarding: Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, from attracting top talent to onboarding new hires and ensuring a smooth integration.

    · Learning & Development: Identify and implement training programs to support employee growth and development.

    · Compensation & Benefits: Administer payroll in close partnership with the Controller and oversee employee benefits with support from our local brokers.

    · Employee Relations: Handle employee relations matters, fostering a positive and productive work environment.

    · HR Compliance: Stay up-to-date on HR laws and regulations, ensuring the company operates in compliance.

    · Project Management: Take ownership of various HR projects, driving them to successful completion.

    · Document Control: Maintain and update all physical and digital employee records including healthcare records.

    · Manage year-end performance review process and associated bonus programs.

    · Lead the talent acquisition process from identifying staffing needs, posting positions, screening candidates, scheduling and participating in interviews (as needed), extending offers, and onboarding new employees.

    · Handle other projects as assigned.

    We're a small team, and we're looking for a big player You'll be comfortable stepping in wherever HR is needed, providing strategic direction, and handling multiple projects simultaneously.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Communication skills: Excellent speaking and listening skills to share information effectively, while paying careful attention to concerns and questions from employees and job applicants.
    • Decision-making skills: For reviewing applicants' qualifications and for working to resolve employee disputes.
    • Detail-oriented: When ensuring the workplace is compliant with labor standards and when maintaining records regarding employee grievances and reviewing candidate qualifications.
    • Interpersonal skills: For interacting with new employees while conversing and connecting with people from various backgrounds and experiences

    Qualifications:

    · Bachelor's degree in business, human resources, or a related field preferred

    · Minimum of 2 years' hands on work experience in an on-site human resources role required.

    · Minimum of 2 years hands on work experience project management in an HR capacity required.

    · Payroll experience is preferred.

    · Benefit Administration experience preferred.

    · Temporary Service Coordination and scheduling is a plus.

    · SHRM certification desirable
