    Type of Hire: Temporary to permanent

    Commencement Date: Immediate

    Compensation: $26-35 per hour

    Work Hours: 8am–5:00pm, Monday to Friday

    Location: Onsite in Chandler, Arizona

    Job Description:

    Join a major player in the banking sector seeking an immigration expert to streamline and manage the immigration process for employees hired in the US and those on global assignments. Tasks include immigration support, visa management, and documentation.

    Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate with external immigration lawyers to oversee business visitor visas, work visas, residency applications, and citizenship processes.
    • Provide guidance on visa processing times, sponsorship criteria, risks, and expenses for potential candidates.
    • Maintain and monitor visa tracker for timely extensions.
    • Ensure strict compliance with immigration record-keeping.
    • Draft visa/travel letters as necessary.
    • Identify process enhancements and propose efficiency improvements to enhance the employee journey.
    • Resolve complex immigration issues with external counsel, conveying solutions to employees and the business.
    • Educate staff on visa and green card applications and renewals.
    • Communicate global immigration policies and develop procedures for the region.

    International Assignment Support:

    • Work with external immigration attorneys for international assignments, visa arrangements, and assignment offer development.
    • Act as the main contact for employees during international assignments, offering guidance and assistance throughout.
    • Collaborate with internal HR units to provide clear communication and assistance to individuals.
    • Partner with HR Business Partners on relocation packages and issue resolution.
    • Consult with stakeholders to determine international move options.
    • Coordinate internal transfer needs for international and permanent relocations.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field
    • 5+ years of experience, preferably in HR
    • Proficiency in global immigration and expat residence permits
    • Experience with various nonimmigrant visas
    • Ability to train on immigration practices, review work, and prepare training materials
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    • Excellent organization, time management, attention to detail, project management, and meeting deadlines
