    Plans, manages and coordinates projects involving business systems and software applications; serves as the primary liaison between technology end users, product owners, and business sponsors to fully define and document requirement specifications that address business and system needs; partners with other project leaders, business end users, and technical teams to implement new software application initiatives and support the continued improvement of existing applications; exercises leadership in the documentation of logistics, timeline parameters, project status updates, and milestone achievements; supports project strategy through technical business analysis, design functionality development, stakeholder collaboration, communication plans, and change management; provides professional development to end users on new initiatives.

    Qualifications

    Required


    Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a bachelor's degree in a field related to management information systems, computer science, system administration, business management, operations management, business analytics, or related field.

    Six (6) years of progressive work experience in information technology and technical project management, one (1) year of which shall have been in a technology project leadership role.

    Knowledge of business systems and software applications practices and trends by comparable school systems or businesses.
    Knowledge of technology-related issues and how they might impact stakeholders.
    Knowledge of appropriate local, state, and federal laws and regulations dealing with technology.
    Skill in managing business applications to include analysis of needs and resources, project planning, impact analysis, and system implementation.
    Strong team-building and interpersonal skills.
    Ability to manage project resources to include fiscal, physical, and/or human resources.
    Ability to prepare technical specifications and review, analyze, and evaluate bids and proposals.
    Ability to work as part of a team to ensure a program meets its goals.
    Ability to effectively lead teams in multiple projects, with adherence to timelines and business rules.
    Ability to plan and conduct professional development activities.
    Ability to establish and maintain successful collaborative working relationships with diverse personnel to address complicated or long-term needs.
    Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

    Preferred

    Master's degree.
    Project management certification (such as PMP, Scrum Master, or SSGI).
    Agile certification (such as PMI-ACP, CSM, SAFe).
