    Description
    job summary:
    A Process Control Engineer is needed for a world leading manufacturer of construction and mining equipment, diesel and natural gas engines, industrial gas turbines and diesel-electric locomotives in the Clayton, NC area. The role involves collaborating with procurement teams and facilities on supply assurance, capacity planning, and supplier quality improvement, requiring expertise in production planning, process control, and lean manufacturing.

    work hours: 8am to 4pm

    responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with category procurement teams and facilities on Assurance of supply initiatives.

  • Engage in capacity planning with key suppliers.

  • Ensure supplier NPI (New Product Introduction) readiness.

  • Improve supplier quality performance as required.

  • Interact with various suppliers to coordinate supply, understand capacity, and assess NPI readiness.

  • Spend significant time in MS Teams meetings.

  • Interact with facility supply chain and procurement teams. Skills:

  • Knowledge of production planning.

  • Understanding of manufacturing engineering.

  • Proficiency in process control.

  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing concepts.

  • Competence in capacity planning. Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, or similar.

  • Minimum of 8 years of working experience.
