Position Description
As a Principal consultant, your goal is to become client's trusted advisor, drive excellence in client delivery, and become the pinnacle of practice development.
You will work closely with our client's leadership team to understand their key challenges and operational priorities, define innovative transformation strategies, win buy-in for your recommendations and lead your team to transform client potential into performance.
You will:
Program Management:
Manage portfolio of cyber security and privacy engagements for public and private sector clients.
Directs planning and management of single or multiple projects and retains overall responsibility for the performance including the cost, schedule, deliverables, and contract compliance.
Responsible for overall success of the project and ensures goals and standards are successfully implemented. Lead engagement planning, budgeting, and standing up high performing yet cost-effective teams. Maintain operational insights to manage engagement risks, ensure on-time and quality delivery. Develop strong client relationships and create leverage for influential engagement execution. Lead teams through organizational changes and dynamic client environments. Rallied staff around common business / engagement goals.Business and Practice Development:
Track broader industry trends and changes to help the account leadership understand the broader market landscape.
Develop and enhance industry leading cyber security growth platforms including but not limited to DevSecOps, automated FISMA compliance, IoT security, and cybersecurity transformation.
Build personal and company brand with speaking engagements at industry events like RSA conference. Author original content demonstrating thought leadership in practice area of interest. Develop and execute account growth strategy including but not limited to 1) identifying potential white space opportunities for the account and conduct quantitative analysis as needed 2) identifying industry partnerships for alternative non-conventional revenue streams 3) development of proposals in various roles including capture cead, proposal manager, technical lead, and technical writer.Leadership and People Development:
Provide career and technical leadership to staff. Coach and mentor staff to build personal brand and challenge them to build their support structure for growth. Motivate and inspire staff to bring out their personal best. Support firm leadership in recruiting and people development strategies and execution.
Position Requirements

You will typically have:
Strong passion for technology, transformation, and client service
Strong technical expertise in cyber security and/or privacy domains
Previous experience and/or familiarity with NIST Risk Management Framework and/or related compliance frameworks preferred
Relevant experience from a top consulting firm
Outstanding analytical and conceptual skills, strong customer focus and mental agility with a results orientation
Know-how to drive operational and client service excellence, presenting project results to senior managers and executive leadership
Hiring mentoring and developing both individuals & teams
Candidate must:
Be a US Citizen and be clearable
Have excellent communication skills
