Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.

Looking for highly motivated nurses to help with this PCU Heart Failure Unit. You will care for a variety of heart transplant and VAD patients. Staffing Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification Successful completion of a proctored rhythm test

Department: Telemetry 4B

Shift Timings: 06:45 - 19:15 Monday to Friday

Roles & Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
• Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

Minimum Qualifications

• Unit Capacity: 24 Beds Population Served: Pre and post heart transplant, LVAD therapy, permanent device therapy, unstable arrhythmias, advanced heart failure, cardiomyopathy, Acute Coronary Syndrome, pre and post cardiac surgery and other related cardiac disorders. Ages of Patients Served: Young Adult through Late Adult Nurse to Patient Ratios: 1:5
• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
• Required a minimum of 1 year of Experience

QUALIFICATIONS

• BLS and ACLS
• National Institutes of Health (NIH)
• Certified Principal Investigator (CPI) Certification
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
• The ability to stand for extended periods.
• Strong technical skills.
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Passionate about patient care
• Requires a minimum of two years of current RN Telemetry Heart Failure experience.
• Graduate from a fully accredited RN program
• Active unencumbered RN Tennessee state license
• One year of Epic experience

• COVID vaccine with 2 Shots & Booster.
