    Job Responsibilities


    The Medical Staff Coordinator (MSC) works independently to coordinate a variety of medical staff office functions and coordinates with and confers with other personnel involved in the credentialing process and medical staff daily operations.

    The MSC supports medical staff officers and department leadership through management of medical staff and department meeting logistics.


    The MSC will support the CME program by working with the director for medical education to coordinate and track the program.


    The MSC will spend a significant amount of time supporting the focused professional performance evaluation (FPPE) for new credentialed staff and will develop and organize reports for the credentials committee.

    This position reports to the Medical Staff Manager and operates within established organizational and departmental policies and procedures.

    Qualifications:
    Qualifications


    High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred.


    Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology required.


    At least 3 years of healthcare experience required.


    Previous medical staff office experience preferred.


    Demonstrated proficiency utilizing word processing applications and/or other automated systems required.


    Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with individuals at all levels within the institution required.


    Excellent oral and written communication skills required.


    Strong computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.) required.


    Self-starter with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team required.
