This position is on-site at Seneca One in Buffalo. This is a hybrid role (3 days per week in the office)

Overview:
We are looking for a DevOps Manager, or an IT Manager to Manage a team of Application Engineers.
We are looking for a strong people leader in this role to manage/ direct the team.

This manager will get in front of application people and sell the automation that this team is working on to other areas of the bank.

The team size will grow to around 15 they support the majority of the applications within the bank...

We don't need someone to understand those apps but someone that understands how applications consume infrastructure and how to modernize them along with bringing automation, creating pipelines, infrastructure as code etc.

We are expanding the team, growing the skillset and also looking to bring more people with the DevOps Engineering mindset

Education and Experience Required:
Minimum of Associates' degree and with 9 years' technology or systems management/leadership experience, or in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 11 years' higher education and/or work experience, including a minimum of 9 years' technology or systems management/leadership experience
Minimum of 3 years people management
Knowledge of DevOps - specifically Ansible and Terraform
Proficiency with pertinent project management, word processing and spreadsheet applications
Capable of working on multiple projects of a complex nature
Experience on large system enhancements, conversions, and production problem resolution
Complete understanding of the system development life cycle
Excellent problem-solving skills to assist in issue resolution
Familiar with application development software and hardware platforms
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent analytical skills
Experience encouraging team work and serving as role model when leading and directing others
Understanding of technical, business and operational impacts of a project or problem
Confidence in leading multiple teams often in different geographic locations and time zones
Experience on large system enhancements, conversions and production problem resolution
