    The ideal candidate will have previous experience in shipbuilding or shipyard operations and possess strong bookkeeping skills to accurately track time and materials expenditures throughout the construction process.

    *Time & Materials Bookkeeper - New Construction Responsibilities
    • Utilize bookkeeping software and systems to accurately record and track time and materials expenditures for the OSV new construction project.
    • Collaborate with project managers, procurement teams, and vendors to obtain necessary documentation and invoices related to time and materials expenses.
    • Maintain detailed records of labor hours, equipment usage, and materials consumption to ensure accurate cost tracking and reporting.
    • Prepare regular reports and updates on time and materials expenditures, including budget vs. actual analysis and variance explanations.
    • Assist in the preparation of project budgets and forecasts by providing accurate and up-to-date information on time and materials costs.
    • Conduct regular audits and reconciliations of time and materials records to identify discrepancies or errors and take corrective actions as needed.
    • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external partners to address inquiries and resolve issues related to time and materials billing and accounting.
    *Time & Materials Bookkeeper - New Construction Position Requirements
    • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.
    • Proven experience as a bookkeeper, accountant, or financial analyst, with a focus on time and materials tracking in a construction or manufacturing environment.
    • Familiarity with shipbuilding or shipyard operations and terminology, including knowledge of vessel construction processes and materials.
    • Proficiency in bookkeeping software and tools, with the ability to learn and adapt to new systems as needed.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
