Lead Software Engineer, Big Data | Kirkland Washington

We are looking for a hands-on Lead Software Engineer to join our Big Data, Software as a Service (SaaS) Team.

This group is responsible for creating the INRIX Trips and Signal Analytics data from billions of GPS points daily and creating APIs to efficiently delivery these to internal SaaS products and external customers.

Primary Responsibilities

Architect, build and optimize data processing infrastructure and platform for a wide range of use cases, including ML, ETL, reporting, and analytics.

Lead development of worldwide complex systems in the development and deployment of INRIX products.
Actively participate in hands-on coding (~70% of role).
Collaborate with Data Scientists to facilitate the seamless integration of ML models into our software solutions.
Own designing, implementing, and optimizing data pipelines that handle large volumes of data.
Integrate ML models into the data pipelines to extract meaningful insights and enable data-driven decision-making.
Required Skillset
Minimum of 8 years of experience with backend development.
Minimum of 4 years hands-on experience leading software engineering teams.
Strong expertise in building backend data pipelines and processing systems.
Proven experience integrating machine learning models into software solutions.
Strong expertise in Java and Scala programming.
Experience building large-volume data web services using AWS technologies.
Expertise in big data processing technologies like Amazon EMR to run Apache Spark, Apache Hive and Presto.
Experience working with petabytes of data and the unknowns of data validation.
Experience with location based data a plus.

The compensation range for this role is $150,000 – $225,000, including base salary and bonus. Compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. INRIX may modify the pay range at any time.
