    The Mission

    This position supports the US Army Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM). Under the I2TS 3 task order, INSCOM ensures reliable, uninterrupted availability of Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Information Management (C4IM) including: networks, hardware, software, engineering, and specialized tools at the point of customer need to support INSCOM's mission. INSCOM and its MSCs provide the enabling layer to connect the Army and its tactical formations to defense and national intelligence agencies via tactical networks. The ability to provide mission critical intelligence is dependent on the successful use of its information technology (IT) networks worldwide.

    We are looking for a self-motivated individual to join our Team immediately for a position as a Senior Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) Administrator. The Senior VDI System Administrator specializes in virtual infrastructures, including networking, systems, and zero trust environments. The right candidate has expertise in Microsoft technologies like FsLogix, Active Directory Services, DHCP, DNS, and GPO managemen and can provide Tier 2/3 support.

    Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

    • The Senior Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) Administrator provides administration, monitoring, and update current and new virtual infrastructure systems, support critical system patches, respond to incidents, and schedule activities
    • Act as the Senior VDI System Administrator and is considered a subject matter expert on Virtual infrastructures, to include virtual networking, virtual systems, zero trust, virtual capabilities, Microsoft technologies to include FsLogix, Active Directory Services, DHCP, DNS, GPO management, while providing overall Tier 2/3 support.
    • Work in a VMware vCenter, vSphere, Hyper-V, and Horizon View environment supporting both virtual servers and desktops (VDI) which include Dynamic environment manager, NSX, VRealize, VMware Cloud, and site recovery manager.
    • Configure and maintain virtual pools, pods, and all virtual desktop components within VMware horizon and Microsoft Remote Desktop Services
    • Apply DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG's) as required
    • Develops functional requirements through interaction with end-users and coordinates with support teams on systematic enhancements or changes
    • Monitor, organize and work collaboratively with Network Operations, Cyber Security and other Teams to optimize and collaborate solutions
    • Learn, mentor, and train junior personnel as needed
    • Manage incident tickets and provide status updates on each ticket per the Service Level Agreement
    • Provide system and application diagnoses to remediate issues while engaging other teams as needed Basic Qualifications
    • Working knowledge of VMware Horizon View, VMware vCenter, VMware Virtual Desktop Infrastructure, Microsoft remote desktop system, Azure Virtual Desktop, and other virtual technologies
    • Possesses knowledge of security policies and general vulnerabilities management in relation to virtualization
    • Leads efforts to ensure data/media recoverability by following a schedule of system backups and database archive operations.
    • Develops performance and security plans for computers that meet the needs of network users.
    • May coach and provide guidance to less-experienced professional

    Qualifications/Experience:

    • Knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in network administration and support
    • Knowledge of related hardware and software

    Education:

    • High School Diploma/GED with 10 years of related experience, or Associate's Degree with 8 years of experience, or Bachelor's Degree with 6 years of experience+ years of experience as a Systems Engineer with a focus on virtualization.

    Certification(s):

    • DoD M IAT Level II Computing Environment (CE) Certification as determined by the Program Manager is required prior to support on contract
    • Required Security Environment Certification: CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent
    • Computing Env: MCSA Server 2016 (Must obtain the full AZ104 Microsoft Azure Administrator within 180 days from start date.)

    Location:

    • On customer site (Hunter AAF/Savannah, Georgia)

    Security Clearance:

    • TS/SCI required
    • Candidates must be willing and able to attain a CI Polygraph for certain positions as determined by the contract
