As a Psychiatrist at Reliatus Behavioral Health, you will play a crucial role in delivering comprehensive psychiatric care to our clients.
You will work within a multidisciplinary team, including therapists, social workers, and other mental health professionals, to provide a holistic approach to mental health treatment.
Essential duties include conducting comprehensive psychiatric assessments/evaluations and mental status examinations (MSEs) of patients, providing multi-axial diagnoses according to the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM) approved by the American Psychiatric Association; developing and implementing individualized mental health treatment planning for assigned child/adolescent patients; providing competent psychotropic medication treatment and other psychiatric treatments to meet the needs of assigned patients; performing related tasks as required.
Your expertise will contribute to improving the well-being of individuals facing a wide range of mental health challenges. Are seeking a C/A Psychiatrist for inpatient and residential treatment work. This is not a Tele Psych position. In this position. a mix of Adult and Adolescent cases or all adolescent cases can be offered. Full-time employed or independent contractor models are available. Medical Directorship also available. This is a Monday – Friday schedule, 40-hour work week. The facility is located 15 miles from the beautiful beaches of North Carolina.Job Responsibilities:
Assess and screen patients by conducting psychiatric evaluations, including interviews, medical histories, physical exams, observations, and psychological testingAnalyze data and results of assessments to diagnose patientsPrescribe and administer medications according to diagnosisMonitor patients to determine efficacy and potential side effects of medicationsDevelop a treatment plan, measure progress against the plan, and make adjustments as neededProvide crisis intervention as neededComplete all necessary clinical documentation in an accurate and timely mannerCollaborate with a broader team of physicians, psychologists, and nurses to assess and adjust treatment plansCoordinate and communicate with case managers and other stakeholders about treatment and care
Job Qualifications:
Current and valid board certification in psychiatryMedical degree from an accredited medical school and completion of an approved psychiatric residencyLicensed to practice medicine in North CarolinaCurrent DEA registrationExcellent knowledge and familiarity with current DSM criteriaFamiliar with crisis assessment tools and techniquesStrong working knowledge of general psychiatric principles and practicesExcellent interpersonal and communication skills With over 30-years of experience in recruitment , Reliatus Behavioral Health is a leading provider of medical clinic staffing and recruitment services nationally.
