Description
A Talascend client in the Mobile, AL area has a need for an Electrical Engineer with Steelmaking Maintenance experienceREQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering 3+ years' heavy industrial manufacturing experience; Steelmaking experience highly preferred (Electric Arc Furnace (EAF), Blast Furnace (BOF), Caster, Tundish, etc.)
Demonstrated knowledge of Electrical Engineering practices Maintenance Knowledge of heavy industrial equipment Technical knowledge of:
Design and programming of PLC and HMI based control systems Design and start-up of AC drive systems Electrical systems, drives (VFD/VSD), controls Reviewing and Developing P&IDs NEC and NFPA 70E Knowledge of Predictive Maintenance techniques and analysis Familiarity with Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Excel, Teams, Word, PowerPoint) Experience using SAP is a plus
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide technical support and consultancy to the management structure in the electrical and automation disciplines (L0 and L1) disciplines Coordinate Engineering activities to support maintenance areas in the implementation of System/Equipment modifications and/or improvements, including technical analysis, proposals and alternatives evaluation, cost estimates, diligence, factory testing and commissioning Coordinate Third part Engineering contracting services from the scope definition phase, to the close out document phase, ensuring the non-interference of new deployments in existing processes, through participation and analysis in its developing phase Maintain the company's technical documentation updated and available for consultation Guarantee the technical support for the project management group, from the feasibility study phase to the coordination of the final acceptance tests, ensuring the technical quality, as well as ensuring the correct technical documentation after changes Establish the minimum technical requirements necessary to purchase or modify equipment and/or systems by maintaining technical standards based on national, international or corporate standards, incorporating new technologies whenever necessary Provide regular updates to internal customers Ability to coordinate and execute multiple projects with minimal supervision Prepare and present reports and findings by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends Observe safety, review accident/incident reports and assist in investigations as required Lead, support, participate in, and develop improvement programs and project groups Support management in optimizing quality, cost, availability and performance of equipment Coordinate and direct personnel as required Demonstrates the company values of Safety, Teamwork, Accountability, Relationships, and Sustainability Fulfills the commitment to ensure a safe and healthy work environment Fulfills the responsibilities required to achieve the Quality Commitment Demonstrates commitment to teamwork by fostering an environment that embodies trust and respect We thank all applicants for their interest.
