Role Overview
:
We're looking for the right person to join our Finance team based in Farmington, Connecticut, someone who's ready to help us deliver on our commitments today and develop global processes to sustain flexibility as the business needs change.
This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated individual to support the Otis World Headquarters (WHQ) Corporate Controller Organization.
Primary responsibilities include:Responsible for establishing a standardize end-to- end Job Costing framework for both New Equipment and Service across multiple jurisdictions, which will include assessment of monthly and quarterly reporting requirements (Contract reviews, estimations, Net Asset Exposures, Loss Provisioning, A/R reserves)
Review of Contract technical matters in accordance with ASU ASC Topic 606, "Revenue from Contracts with Customers"
Review and standardize end-to-end processes surrounding our service model, including repair & maintenance contracts.
Review & support the SEC Financial statement quarterly and annual reporting including other technical accounting and reporting matters.
Support the accounting aspects of the FWG process which support WHQ strategies and initiatives including cash management, repatriation and management of the effective tax rate
Ad-hoc requests and special projects
Opportunities to supervise.
Adapting to new responsibilities as we continue to define and standardize across the Controller's organization.
Education / Certifications:
B.S. in Accounting
CPA or MBA a plus
Experience / Qualifications:
15+ years of related accounting and/or SEC Reporting experience
Experience with JDE, including job-cost environment and Hyperion Financial Management and Workiva a plus.
Candidate should possess strong communication skills with the demonstrated ability to interact with all levels of Regional Finance & Operations as well as the Controller's Dept., & senior management.
Ability to supervise and work acrossdepartments/organizations
is a plus.
