    Summary



    This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after complete review of the EDRP application.

    Clarksburg, in the Mountaineer Country region, offers visitors a rich mix of retail, industrial, professional and governmental services and one of the best preserved historical downtowns in the state. Clarksburg is considered a Large Town with a population of 41,453 and 2,918 businesses. 12 in 2018 were added to the Clarksburg Chamber of Commerce business directory which was less than 2017 which had 24.

    Major Duties, The Float Pool nurse is responsible to but not limited to the following:

    • Assess, plan implement, document and evaluate care to ensure a coordinated holistic approach which best meets the needs of the patient.
    • Assist patients to achieve their optimum level of health in situations of normal health, illness injury or through the process of dying; Advocate the dignity and self-respect of patients.
    • Promote the autonomy of patient and help them to express their health needs and values to obtain appropriative information and services.
    • Perform laboratory patient testing and reporting as assigned.
    • Collect appropriate specimens from patients.
    • Performs pain assessments.
    • Manages central and peripheral IV access and medications (to include IV push medications).
    • Recognizes overt abnormal signs and symptoms or changes in patient's needs.
    • Reports changes to the appropriate provider and documents effectively.
    • Other duties as assigned.
    Pay: Competitive salary, regular salary increases, potential for performance awards

    Paid Time Off: 50 days of paid time off per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year)

    Work Schedule: Night Shift, 7:30p - 8:00a, 11:30p - 8:00a, hour & (1) 8 hour shift per pay period.
