Job summary
Prysmian is seeking a people-oriented and change management champion to support our HV Cable business. As a HV Cable Design Engineer, you will be reporting directly to the director of the HV Cable Design and Development Engineering group in Abbeville and will be integral to the continued success as well as the future growth of our customers.We are looking for someone with strong analytical skills who can work independently or in a collaborative team environment. The ideal candidate should have experience in design engineering within manufacturing environments and have knowledge of industry standards such as ICEA UL CSA certification listings.
The successful candidate will be responsible for creating/maintaining product designs and costs general product data sheets/drawings reviewing customer/industry specifications determining capability Prysmian facilities meet requirements utilizing cable design tools create BOMs routings manufacturing Prysmian products its facilities utilizing ERP systems review maintain material master data developing analyzing costs quotations production benchmarking analysis when requested comparisons between facilities interacting commercial manufacturing personnel processing requests most expeditious manner maintaining design system process guidelines TI SOP FOD prescribed changes ensuring strict adherence requirement maintaining updating products lines necessary evaluating proposing innovative ideas new products enhancements providing ideas tracking Design Cost projects acting constructively technical teams special projects improve production efficiencies continuous improvement product process development maintaining strong operating knowledge appropriate industry standards including updates certifications
