    Description
    Minimum 1+ years nursing experience required.

    We are actively interviewing experienced Registered Nurses for a full-time role within school districts in the Calumet City, Illinois area for the upcoming school year.

    Responsibilities

    • Provide direct nursing care to students, including managing chronic health conditions and administering medications.
    • Conduct health screenings and immunization clinics.
    • Develop and implement individual health plans for students with specific health needs.
    • Collaborate with educators, parents, and healthcare providers to support student health and educational outcomes.
    • Respond to emergency situations and provide first aid as necessary.
    • Maintain accurate and confidential health records.
    • Promote a healthy school environment through education and health promotion activities.
    • Participate in school health policy development and implementation.

    Requirements

    Applicants must meet all local and state requirements, including but not limited to:

    • Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Illinois.
    • Bachelors degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
    • Current CPR and First Aid certification.
    • Prior experience in a school or pediatric setting is highly desirable.
    • Strong communication and organizational skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
