    Job Title:
    Imaging Specialist

    Position Type:
    Full Time

    Shift:
    Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM 1st Shift

    Pay Rate:
    $15.50

    Job Summary:
    The Imaging Specialist position involves a range of duties tailored to the specific service area and customer requirements. These tasks may include document preparation, scanning, filming, film processing, film duplication, indexing, or publishing CDs for customers.

    Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

    Document Prepping:
    This includes classifying easily recognizable documents, orienting, repairing, and removing objects such as staples and paperclips.

    It also involves unfolding corners, taping down small pieces of paper on larger sheets, and placing patch or barcode separators between records for scanning.


    Scanning:

    Tasks include calibrating and cleaning paper scanners, correcting double feeds and poor images, operating all aspects of scanning software applications, and ensuring the quality processing of items through the scanning process.


    Microfilm:

    Responsibilities encompass the calibration, loading, and cleaning of microfilm equipment, correcting poor images, and ensuring the quality processing of filmed documents.


    Data Capture:

    Involves locating key data on documents once they have been scanned and keying the alphanumeric data into the appropriate database according to customer specifications.


    Safety and Security:

    Demonstrates high levels of safety awareness, notifies supervisors of potential hazards, and adheres to security and privacy policies to protect informational assets.


    Production Tasks:

    Must successfully perform various tasks in one area of imaging, including processing documents timely and accurately, maintaining production quotas while ensuring high quality, recording production accurately, reporting and addressing issues promptly, and maintaining equipment if applicable.


    Key Skills:
    Persuasive communication skills for interacting with callers and directing them appropriately.
    Interpersonal skills necessary for effective collaboration with colleagues, other departments, and external agencies.
    Planning and organizational abilities to manage workload efficiently around multiple assignments.
    Ability to occasionally lift office equipment and boxes.

    Minimum Qualifications:
    High School Diploma or GED.
    Six months to one year of general office experience.
    2 years of previous scanning experience.

    Physical Requirements:
    The role may involve sitting and typing/keyboarding using a computer for extended periods.

    Physical demands may include walking, carrying, reaching, standing, and stooping, with occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, or pulling up to 25 lbs.

    "The pay rate for this position is $15.00/hr; however, base pay rate offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
