    Job Description

    Position Scope:

    This position is responsible for assembling wood parts, cabinets, fixtures by following blue print drawings, packing, moving, staging, and processing material with regards to efficiency, quality, and safety to assure timely manufacturing of product to customer specification.

    Must have 1 year experience in assembly and wood working, cabinetry, and use of saws and basic hand tools is a plus.

    Position Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Have the ability to take direction.
    • Assembles fabricated parts to subassemblies and completes units.
    • Tests and calibrates parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product specifications.
    • Refers to company diagrams and blue prints for instructions.
    • Follows procedures in company handbook and other documents.
    • Displays a sense of urgency towards completing assigned tasks.
    • Maintains good attendance.
    • Is dependable and displays a strong work ethic.
    • Works within a team concept and contributes to a positive work environment.
    • Demonstrates a professional attitude in approaching job assignment.
    • Assures the work area and aisles are kept clean and free of debris.
    • Maintains a safe work attitude and environment.

    Qualifications:

    • Ability to read and interpret a blueprint, shipping order, and pick list.
    • Must be familiar with general assembly standards.
    • Must be familiar with basic wood material and assembly of (including clamps, glues, basic sanding)
    • Ability to memorize and recognize parts by number and finish.
    • Ability to read a tape measure.
    • Must be able to work to high quality level.
    • Ability to do simple mathematical calculations.
    • Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
    • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently.
    • Ability to stand/walk for extended periods.
    • Ability to interpret job paperwork
