    Job Summary:

    The Dir Tax is responsible for the Company's tax compliance, tax planning and accounting for income tax. This role will work with management, internal and external stakeholders, service providers, and other tax professionals to ensure timely and accurate tax reporting.

    Essential Job Duties:
    • Manage the tax provision process in accordance with ASC 740, including the calculation and documentation of quarterly and annual tax provisions.
    • Preparation and review of federal, state, and local income tax returns including all related analysis workpapers and support
    • Ensure that effective tax internal controls are in place and document and manage uncertain tax positions.
    • Compute and reconcile extension and quarterly estimated tax liabilities and ensure timely filing/payment
    • Oversight of international tax compliance and reporting requirements including management of timelines and deliverables.
    • Management of sales & use tax, property tax, business licenses, and GST/VAT tax filings.
    • Actively participate and advise senior management on tax impacts and structuring options for entity acquisitions and divestitures
    • Lead all federal state and local tax audits and represents the Company in negotiating tax assessments and settlements.
    • Proactively identify and research tax planning opportunities. Implement structural and non-structural tax planning strategies, which maximize savings on a defensible basis.
    • Departmental liaison / lead for all tax related matters related to new or existing internal software.
    • Lead and providing mentorship, guidance, and training to staff.
    Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in accounting required. Master's degree and/ or CPA preferred.
    • 10+ years of relevant experience with a corporate tax department or an accounting firm.
    • Strong understanding of federal, state and local tax laws and regulations.
    • Proven leadership experience with the ability to lead and develop a team.
    • Must be local to Atlanta and have the ability to come into the office (Hybrid).
    • Must have a demonstrated hands-on approach and success in working in a team-based environment.
