- Wash dishes, clean and sanitize the kitchen area to include walk in refrigerators, freezers and restrooms
- Comply with all safety and sanitation regulations .
- Multi-tasking and working on more than one item at a time .
- Maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen.
- Assemble, p ackage and label products for delivery .
- Assembling sack lunches and dating each bag .
- W rap cold food with plastic wrap and label appropriately .
- Build and wrap sandwiches for lunch sacks .
- Assist in putting product deliveries away while rotating product and keeping dry storage areas, and cold area storage areas clean and organized .
- Wipe down stainless steel work areas with sanitizing solution .
- Load and unload delivery vans .
- Must have a high school diploma or GED and possess a valid WA state Food
- Must be able to communicate clearly in English .
- Some experience working in a commercial kitchen environment .

Pioneer operates a high-quality institutional kitchen that provides fully cooked meals to many of our residential programs, affordable meal options to other nonprofit organizations, prepared food for restaurants in the Puget Sound region and work experience for our trainees.
Our food services division is licensed by the Washington State Department of Agriculture as a food processor that allows u s toprocess, package and sell the food in retail locations. The kitchen has state of the art equipment for preparing, cooking and fast-chilling ready to eat foods.
We provide more than 1,000 meals a day for extended care facilities, day nutrition centers and residential reentry facilities in King, Pierce and Snohomish counties.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
The primary responsibilities of the Food Service Specialist are to wash dishes, clean floors and walls and maintain general cleaning and sanitiz ing standards for CFS kitchens.
They are responsible for maintaining all food safety guidelines and procedures. Other responsibilities include assisting the cooks and cook trainers to produce and package food orders when needed.WHAT
