    We are seeking a social work professional with a strong background in documentation, knowledge of laws and regulations associated with adolescent placement and residential facilities, and experience as a supervisor.

    Position: Case Management Compliance Officer

    Full-Time, Exempt- Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm

    The Case Management Compliance Officer is responsible for all federal, state, and local compliance requirements associated with LIF Inc. and its license to operate residential group homes within Kansas. The Compliance Officer is directly responsible for ensuring LIF Inc is following the Kansas Department for Children and Families (DCF) guidelines. Additionally, the Compliance Officer serves as the primary advisor to the LIF Inc Director on day-to-day operations, residential house management, and Residential Director training. The Compliance Officer will routinely interact with the LIF Inc Director and his Executive Assistant, the Residential Directors, DCF and similar external agencies, the LIF Inc Human Resources Department, and LIF Inc Life Coaches where appropriate. Additional duties may include performing resident intakes, performing Residential Director duties during periods of absence, and serving as the acting LIF Inc Director during periods of absence. This is a developmental position with the potential for grooming as a LIF Inc Vice Director role with supervisory duties and authority over the entire organization. This position reports directly to the LIF Inc Director.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Must be at least 21 years of age
    • Must have a degree; criminal justice, social work, sociology or equivalent field
    • Must have a Valid Driver's License
    • Must pass the KBI and DCF background check
    • Have ability to work with male adolescents with behavior problems
    • Must have 3+years supervisory experience
    • Technically competent in documentation
    • Experience in auditing and knowledge of Kansas DCF compliance
    • Experience collaborating with placement agencies
    • Strong communication and People skills; ability to gain cooperation, persuade and influence others
    • Demonstrates sound judgement, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
    • Identifies risk and capable of presenting risk mitigation strategies
    • Willingness to undergo 3-6 months of training, development, and grooming in the Residential Director role while simultaneously learning critical duties as the Compliance Officer
    • Demonstrates potential for higher level responsibility within 12 months to serve as Chief House Director / Vice Director / Assistant Director

    Essential Functions:

    • Conduct regular walk throughs of each residential house to ensure house standards are being met and address findings
    • Perform routine audits of each residential house and enforce compliance
    • Complete resident intakes as required
    • Monitor referrals and advise House Directors on ability to keep beds at capacity
    • Review documentation and mentor Residential Directors on ways to improve; advise LIF Inc Director on best practices and training.
    • Monitor MARS and turnover; advise Residential Directors and LIF Inc Director on mitigation strategies
    • Monitor case notes sent to placement agencies and ensure deadlines are met
    • Ensure SIRs and protocols are completed and standardized
    • Verifies monthly residential reports are completed
    • Prepares the organization for external audits; serves as the main point of contact and auditor escort, briefs the LIF Inc Director on status, and ensures the organization is compliant
    • Serves as the LIF Inc Director during periods of absence
    • Provides assistance and support for resident appointment when required
    • Audits staff training requirements and collaborates with Residential Directors for completion
