At Saint Alphonsus Health System, we are looking for people who are living out their calling. We want you to be passionate about coming to work, and challenged to achieve your potential. Living by these virtues, we pride ourselves on exceptional service and the highest quality of care.

The Saint Alphonsus Medical Group (SAMG) is now hiring for a new exciting option for our part-time and full-time Medical Assistant opportunities Please see below for details regarding this new option***$1500 Sign-On Bonus Offered to external applicants for this position*** MEDICAL ASSISTANT – PLUS (MA-PLUS) POSITION DETAILS:

New hires and colleagues will receive enhanced hourly compensation with limited benefits with this option.

    How It Works:

External applicants will go through the regular recruitment and hiring process for our MA positions, either going through the Centralized Hiring Process or directly hired to a clinic. Please see details below regarding the Centralized hiring process.

If hired, you will have the choice to select the MA Plus option or regular status position. You will be required to work the same work schedule and role that the clinic is requiring or that is assigned to you as part of the Centralized Hiring Process. The MA Plus option does have a maximum number of participants, so once that number is hit we won't be offering this option until we have vacancies.

For internal colleagues, you will stay with your current clinic/provider but you will transfer to the MA Plus option effective the next available pay period.

MA-Plus colleagues are generally not eligible to transfer for one year to another employment position with SAMG, Saint Alphonsus Health System, or any other Trinity Health Corporation related entity.

MA-Plus new hires and colleagues WILL NOT be eligible for paid holidays, other paid time off (unless required by applicable state or local law) or other employer-provided benefit plans and programs, including: medical/prescription drug*, dental, vision, life and accidental death and dismemberment ("AD&D") insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, health care flexible spending account, dependent care flexible spending account, health savings account, health reimbursement account, voluntary benefits (e.g., life insurance, critical illness insurance, cancer insurance, auto/homeowners insurance, pet insurance, AD&D insurance, identity theft insurance and group legal), severance, adoption assistance program and tuition assistance program.

**MA-Plus colleagues who are "ACA-eligible" (i.e., average 30 hours per week/130 hours per month during a measurement period) will be offered the medical/prescription drug plan with no employer cost-share. Please review the Trinity Health Human Resources System-wide ACA Employee Eligibility Procedure for additional information.**

    CENTRALIZED RECRUITMENT PROCESS:

In addition to direct clinic hiring, we are also conducting a centralized recruitment process for all full-time MA positions, however we are still doing some direct hires to clinics. You will go through an initial phone screen with the Recruiter and then will have a video interview with a hiring team from our Medical Group Nursing Leadership Team and other clinics may be included on this interview as well.

By applying for a full-time MA position you will be considered for all Medical Assistant openings (both primary care and specialty clinics). Clinic locations and specialty areas vary based on current openings. If selected for an interview, you will be able to discuss your preferences for type of clinic (primary care or specialty), location, and work schedule with the interview team. If you are selected for hire, once you have a start date we will update your preferences based on available positions and locations at that time.

    Orientation and Training Process:

As you are transitioning into Saint Alphonsus Medical Group, our Clinical Support Team will provide an orientation program that will be critical to your success whether you are a new or experienced MA joining our team. Our goal is to provide you a path to a successful integration into a clinic setting or remaining part of our support team as a float. Your Choice

Once your start date is determined the Clinical Support Team Manager or Lead will follow up with you to obtain your clinic preferences. You will have a 4-6 week orientation including didactic training and orienting with preceptors and providers at the clinics you are interested in. It is like a working interview, you are able to try out the clinic and in turn the clinic also is able to see if you are a good fit with the staff, environment and work. If the clinic is interested in offering you a position, then you would decide if you would like to transfer to that clinic or if you want to work at your second preference clinic the following week. This process could continue to your third preference clinic. Another option is to stay in the Clinical Support Team as a float
