    Position OverviewRRI is seeking tech-savvy energy project managers to join our team of advisors supporting the Defense Innovation Unit (DIU).

    Were looking for diverse backgrounds in defense operational energy and energy resilience, electric vehicles, advanced materials and battery technologies, cleantech and alternative fuels, infrastructure and supply chain industry experience.

    This position is based in Mountain View, CA.

    This position can also be located in Boston or DC and requires an active Top Secret clearance with SCI elibility and U.S.

    citizenship.
    ResponsibilitiesLead collaborative teams in the design, execution, and management of rapid prototyping projects focused on applying and integrating innovative commercial energy solutions to DoD and other government problem-sets to demonstrate value to end users on compressed timelinesProvide subject matter expertise to support prototype projects in a myriad of technological fields related to operational energy and energy resiliencyIdentify DoD problems that could be solved by commercial solutions and actively lead problem curation processes with customers and diverse stakeholder communitiesParticipate in outreach, collaboration, and mentorship with commercial vendors, industry, academia, other non-traditional vendors, DoD entities, program offices, and recognized technical experts throughout the execution of DIUs acquisition and prototyping phasesAssist with the business and technical evaluation of commercial technologiesServe as the lead facilitator of the DIU Commercial Solutions Opening (CSO) process, ultimately leading to the award of an Other Transaction Authority (OTA) prototype contracts and management of multiple awarded efforts at any given timeQualifications

    Required Qualifications:

    Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearanceEducation and relevant training in an engineering, scientific, business, or finance-related fieldMinimum 8 years experience in product, project, program management in a commercial technology or DoD capacity.

    Excellent communication, collaboration, analytical, interpersonal and client-handling skillsAbility to work independently as part of a large and dispersed team, and report progress in a timely and succinct mannerAbility to execute to the highest standards to drive quality, build relationships and protect the DIU brand and reputationPrior experience supporting R&D prototypes for government clients (DOD, DOE, etc.) in a management, development, or acquisitions capacity

    Preferred Qualifications:

    Active TS with SCI eligibilityDirect prior DoD (military or civilian) experience that allows the candidate to curate problems and build relationships with stakeholders across USGDirect prior experience supporting and leading government and commercial vendor collaborative teams to rapidly iterate and deliver project tasks and milestonesGlobal Comp$150,000 - $220,000 This represents the typical compensation range for this position based on experience, location and other factors.
