    Duties

    Join the team at the William S. Middleton Memorial Veterans Hospital in Madison, WI, and play a vital role in the Nutrition and Food Services Department. Responsibilities for this position include:
    • Setting up assigned station on the tray line with correct supplies and food items
    • Serving food cafeteria style with uniform portions
    • Preparing beverages, salads, sandwiches, and desserts
    • Operating and cleaning kitchen equipment
    • Delivering meal trays to patients
    • And more!

    Work Schedule: 11:30am-8:00pm, rotating weekends and holidays

    Telework: Is not authorized

    Qualifications

    Experience: Must demonstrate ability to work without more than normal supervision

    Responsibility

    Food Service Workers receive limited supervision, follow procedures, and help lower grade employees.

    Working in kitchen areas can be hot, noisy, and pose risks with equipment.

    Working Conditions

    Hot, noisy, and risky kitchen environments.

    Customer Service

    Providing courteous and respectful service to veterans and staff.
