    Overview


    General Surgery is a clinical discipline devoted to diagnosis and management of a broad range of diseases and conditions that may require surgical treatment.

    The scope of general surgery is vast and encompasses most of the major organ systems and tissues of the body, including the:


    • Gastrointestinal tract (esophagus, stomach, intestines, and rectum)
    • Abdomen and abdominal organs (gallbladder, pancreas, liver, and spleen)
    • Breasts
    • Skin and soft tissues
    • Adrenal, thyroid and parathyroid glands
    • Blood vessels (arteries and veins)
    General surgeons are doctors who are board-certified as specialists in many different types of surgery. At Roxborough Memorial Hospital, our general surgeons are an important part of your care team

    Responsibilities

    * · Surgical Service Line (multiple): IP + OP

    • Full Time- Part-Time and Per-Diem
    * · Practice offers bread-and-butter general surgery cases along with the opportunity for large volumes of endoscopy; bariatric cases
    * · Call to be discussed
    * · Established practice

    • Located in Philadelphia
    • Wound care center on-site

    Qualifications


    • Medical degree from an accredited institution.
    • Board Certified/Eligible in General Surgery.
    • Proven experience in various surgical procedures, including preoperative and post-operative care.
    • Exceptional decision-making abilities and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Commitment to continuous education and staying updated with the latest advancements in the field.
