    Minimum Qualifications:

    High School diploma or equivalent.

    Valid Driver's License.


    Combination of two years of work experience in one or more of the following areas: clerical, inventory, loading, shipping and receiving, or warehouse.

    College education may substitute at the rate of 30 semester hours or 45 quarter hours for each year of experience.

    Preferences:

    Experience working in a non-climate controlled work environment.

    Warehouse/inventory experience.

    Experience organizing files, records or other materials.

    Experience in a position requiring frequent heavy lifting or performing duties that are physically demanding.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    Provide state and local government agencies with records storage services. Verify that storage cartons are properly constructed and labels are properly placed. Provide guidance to customers on how to use State Records Center services. Transport records to the center and ensure proper storage.

    Provide state and local government agencies with reference service. Pull records upon request, prepare for transport and transport records to customers. Pick up returns and re-file them. Maintain integrity of records, verifying that all records are accounted for and properly stored.

    Complete routine deaccessions.

    Assist unit coordinators or Records Specialists in administrative duties and perform quality control measures for inventory.

    Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

    Knowledge of basic computer skills.

    Ability to coordinate work assignments.

    Ability to drive state owned vehicles.

    Ability to lift and carry 40 to 50 pounds.

    Ability to work in a non-climate controlled work environment.

    Ability to bend, stoop, squat, reach, stretch and twist.

    Ability to climb stairs.

    Ability to work in extreme environmental conditions, outside or inside (e.g., heat; cold; dust; noise).

    Ability to ascend and descend ladders.

    Ability to work with frequent interruptions.

    Ability to communicate and convey ideas clearly, both verbally and in writing.

    Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

    Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, subordinates and superiors.
