Per Diem Rehabilitation Aide - Woodbury - Northwell Health

Job Responsibility

• Clean and maintain a safe and organized workspace, ensuring all equipment is properly sanitized after each treatment.
• Support patients in performing or practicing functional activities under the guidance of medical staff.
• Accurately record treatments administered and equipment used during sessions.
• Manage inventory and stock levels of treatment supplies to ensure availability.
• Administer manual therapeutic exercises, massage, or other modality treatments as prescribed by medical staff.
• Transport patients safely to and from treatment areas using wheelchairs or providing standing support.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, colleagues, and patients via phone, written, or verbal means.
• Observe, receive, and gather information from various sources to inform decision-making.
• Assist with administrative tasks such as answering phones and scheduling patient appointments.
• Provide exceptional customer service skills to every patient.
• Contribute to a positive and caring workplace culture by maintaining approachability, energy, and a helpful attitude.
• Effectively multitask and manage responsibilities in a fast-paced work environment.

Varying shifts are available between Monday-Thursday (7am-9pm) and Friday (7am-7pm).

Job Qualification

• A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent (GED) is required.
• At least one year of experience in a related field, such as physical therapy or medical office, is preferred. Previous experience as a rehabilitation aide is also beneficial.
