    Hourly rate is up to $50 per hour.

    We are on the lookout for a Junior Data Scientist to join our client's Data and Analytics division. This role is designed for individuals who are passionate about leveraging data to drive business decisions, capable of understanding complex data analysis & sourcing needs, and skilled in designing and building enterprise-level data solutions.

    What You'll Do:

    Data Analysis & Model Development: Design, develop, and implement predictive models using advanced data science concepts, including regression modeling, time series forecasting, classification, data clustering, and deep learning.

    Insight Extraction: Utilize data mining techniques to extract insights from internal data sources, analyzing patient outreach and journey data to optimize strategies and develop analytics solutions.

    Collaboration & Presentation: Work closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, presenting insights and analytics results, and consulting on new insights to drive business impact.

    Code Development & Scalability: Develop scalable source code, contribute to architecture discussions, and develop developer-friendly Python packages, ensuring scalability and accessibility of data-science functionalities.

    Cloud Migration: Explore migrating models to Google Cloud Platform (GCP), leveraging BigQuery for data storage and VertexAI for modeling, demonstrating adaptability to cloud-based solutions.

    Strategy & Methodology: Contribute to the development and implementation of data science strategies, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives, and take ownership of end-to-end data science projects.

    What You Need:

    Education: BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or another quantitative field.

    Technical Skills: Demonstrated proficiency in SQL and Python for data manipulation, analysis, and model development. Extensive experience with Azure and Databricks is required.

    Experience in Machine Learning: Specialization in classification techniques, particularly with XGBoost, and proven experience applying data science techniques such as regression, classification modeling, segmentation, and time series analysis.

    Teamwork & Communication: Ability to collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, effective communication of findings and recommendations, and active participation in code reviews and knowledge-sharing sessions.
